Just recently bought a 50 inch plasma tv and with 3 little ones in the house decided to protect my investment by purchasing this product. Shipping was quick and painless. The item was just as advertised and with some quick reading of the instructions and about 10 minutes of my time and help from my wife we easily attached it to the new tv. I have had it for about a month,my quick comments are that it gives peace of mind with the little ones around, nothing is going to break this thing. It also looks good on the tv and i do appreciate that it will easily come off in the future. Very happy with the product, also very easy to clean, thanks!

This screen shield is assume - better than I expected !! It fits our TV so well. Highly recommend the product.
I bought it after my son and my nephew broke my husband's brother TV and we didn't want to take any risks. Picture is excellent and the shield doesn't take way from the looks of our TV.

I found this product after my 2 year old son cracked the LCD on our 40" Sony television and finding out the extended warranty at a certain big box retailer does not cover accidental damage even though the salesman told me it would (my mistake for believing him). I did some research online and found this product.

The protector is 1/4" Plexiglas that sits in front of the LCD via a lip that fits over the top of the TV with felt dots to keep the shield away from the LCD along along two velcro straps on the back to secure it.

Installation was almost "too easy." First, make sure the screen is big enough before you remove the blue protective sheet to avoid a restocking fee if you have to return it. Second, place four felt dots on the corners so that they are not touching the lcd but the frame of the tv to keep the shield at least 1/4" away from the LCD. Third, feed the velcro straps through one set of eyelets, place the screen on the tv, feed the straps through the other eyelets and tighten.

The screen appeared to not effect the picture quality at all. I forgot to take before and after photos with my 37" LG but I will do it when I receive the 52" Samsung that is replacing the broken 40" Sony. Since the screen is Plexiglas, the manufacture recommends that you do not use any glass cleaners or paper products to clean the shield, only a mild soap solution and a lint free cloth to keep the screen from developing a haze.

In my opinion, this is cheap insurance spending between 0 and 5 to protect a major investment in some cases because most store warranties exclude accidental damage and if I was to file a claim on my homeowners insurance I would still be out the deductible plus have a claim on my record which could trigger a rate increase...

I never realized how big the box of this screen protector would be. Overall very happy it fits well on the frame and I personally don't see haw one can brake it. I had hard time removing the masking protection but my wife helped me with that. Plastic is absolutely clear and picture's excellent... She also helped fix it on the TV, I was going to do it myself but you're better off having someone help for a52" TV
Not sure if this is an exception but we got it in 2 days after paying the regular shipping - we buy stuff on the internet all the time and this rarely happens.
I paid over 00 for a new Sony Bravia LCD 1080p for my wife's 39 birthday getting the protector at 169 was a good decision our kids run around and throw stuff in the leaving room all the time.
For Christmas we are getting 32 inch Vizio for my son's room will probably need to get another protector knowing how he treats things ....
